I bought this kit because it was a good value especially with a rebate. pYou might think an included flashlight is useless but think again. You can get a lot of light time out of the battery attached to the flashlight and it's bright. Also, while the flashlight seems cheaply made (unlike the driver/drill, which seems very sturdy), the fact that it can stand up on the battery base and point anywhere in the room is nice when you are working with little light.pThe Makita unit is sturdy, designed well and fun to use. It may not be quite as smooth-running as the more expensive Panasonic cordless drivers, but for the money and bang for the buck, you can't beat Makita. I also like the way the Makita looks better than any other brand. It performs very well and I am not dissappointed at all. pThe included Makita case is a nice design and sturdy-a bit like a Pelican case. The Makita charger is also space saving. My only complaint is I wish the case was slightly smaller. It's about the size of a briefcase and there is a lot of empty space inside when you get the drill, batteries and charger loaded in. On the plus side, you can use this extra space for extra bits and other small handtools that you might want to carry.
